Best OKR Software

Methodology

How we score OKR software

Every ranking on this site is computed from published rules. Nothing is hand-ordered, and no vendor can pay to be listed, ranked, or re-scored.

Each active platform is rated from 0 to 5 on seven criteria. The overall benchmark score is the weighted average below, rounded to one decimal.

Situational rankings

Buying advice that ignores context is noise, so each situational ranking uses its own weighted criteria. A startup list weights price and setup speed, while an enterprise list weights security, scale, and admin controls. The exact criteria, weights, and per-vendor scores are printed on every ranking page:

Evidence rules

  • Pricing comes from vendor pricing pages. Each price carries a last-verified date (most recent check 2026-09-15). When a vendor hides pricing, we say so instead of guessing, and it costs them on the pricing transparency criterion.
  • Features must be documented. A capability counts only when the vendor documents it publicly or we can verify it directly.
  • Missing data means abstention. When a platform cannot be fully assessed against a ranking's criteria, it is excluded from that ranking rather than scored on a hunch.
  • Acquired and discontinued vendors are recorded. They stay on the site with their status explained, but are removed from rankings.

Independence of the scores

There are no sponsored placements, no affiliate deals that affect ordering, and no pay-to-play listings. Because rankings are computed from the published rules, changing an outcome would require changing a rule in public. Ownership details are on the about page.
